HEMBA, CONGO, AFRICAN, CARVED WOOD STANDING MALE FIGURE H 18.75" W 6.5" Elongated head with headdress, polished finish, figure standing with hands on his belly, black patinated transitioning to a natural terracotta tone on base and feetProvenance: Estate of Jack Faxon, Birmingham, MI. Michigan Senator and creator of the Michigan Council for the Arts.
Condition
Several cracks in the grain (primarily to the left side of the figure), the base has a loss to the right of the figure and the toes on the left side of the figure.
