A Finely carved wooden ceremonial vessel from the Yoruba. A Agere ifa (àgéré Ifá) is a container for storing sacred palm nuts for Yoruba divination ceremonies. This tray features a mother and child effigy and measures 6.5 x 5.75 inches. Provenance: Field collected by Dr. V. Schnieder in the 1980's.
