Pre-Columbian Vera Cruz (100 BCE - 900 CE) Pottery Figural Whistle, on stand. Presented with a rounded face, almond-shaped eyes, overbite with a feathered headcrest, rounded belly, articulated re-attached arms, chest band, beaded necklace and pendant earrings. Provenance: Artemis Gallery, Louisville, CO; [COA] Private New York Collector; Sotheby's, New York, November 27-28, 1984, Lot 147. Size: 8'' x 3/5'' x 2'' (20 x 89 x 5 cm) including stand.
