Description
An excellent, well executed, Kiowa Tribe Beaded Hide Dress circa 1880.   This deer or elk skin Plains Indian dress with long fringe and beadwork would have been worn by an adolescent  woman.  A red beaded cross is sewn into the back of the dress.  Purple ribbons and seed decorated fringes further accentuate this early  Native American garment.  Measures 43" length x 25" width without fringe and 41" width with frindge.
