Description
NEW YORK DECORATED STONEWARE CROCK, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical wide-mouth form with incised ring below the mark, flat-top rounded rim, and applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Slip-trailed cobalt decoration featuring a chicken pecking corn. Probably Adam Caire, Poughkeepsie, Brady & Ryan, Ellenville. Circa 1880. 10 1/8" H, 10 1/2" D.
Undamaged except for a minor flake to rim, three small glaze skips/flakes to interior.
