Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Finely cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process, a lovely amulet in the form of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty, dressed in a flowing garment with drapery folds cascading below her hips and hugging her shoulders, her chest nude - standing atop a pedestal,with an integral loop above her head for suspension. The perfect gift for the goddess in your life! Size: 0.8" W x 3.7" H (2 cm x 9.4 cm)
