Description
A choice Egyptian alabaster headrest, 1st Intermediate Period, c. 2150 - 1990 BC, fashioned in three pieces, the curved headrest atop a support pillar set into a rectangular base. 6 1/2 in x 7 in (16.5 x 17.8cm). Nicely fashioned and well-preserved with light surface deposits, Ex collection of Xavier Sallet and Ines Heugel, France.
