Description
A choice Egyptian steatite scarab, 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 – 1570 BC, the body beautifully carved well-detailed head, the base adorned with symmetric signs opposite a double lotus emblem, winded vulture and two red crowns above. 18.5 x 12mm. Very well-preserved and holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
