Description
A Yortan culture black-ware jug, Anatolia, Early Bronze Age II, c. 2700 - 2400 BC, hand-modeled, with rounded body, pouring spout and single handle. The nicely burnished gray surfaces are decorated with groups of narrow bands in white slip. H: 5 in (12.7 cm). Light deposits. Ex collection of Karl Jakob Muller, Germany, acquired 1950-1977.
