Description
A pair of Egyptian offering dishes and a Roman bowl. Lot includes a pair of Egyptian ceramic offering dishes of a type which are found throughout the long history, from Old Kingdom to the Roman Period. Each is well-preserved, Dia: 2 ½ in (6.3 cm) & 1 5/8 in (4.2 cm). Also included is a Roman bowl, 1st - 3rd Century AD, from the Holy Land, with narrow foot and light ridge below the rim. Dia: 5 in (12.7 cm). Light deposits. Ex Gagne collection, San Francisco, acquired in the 1960's while working as a flight attendant for PanAm airlines; thence by descent.
