Description
A lot of 4 Romano-Egyptian ceramic 'frog' lamps, c. 6th - 7th Century AD, each lentoid, with concave border around fill-hole. The shoulder of three are decorated with geometric designs and one with incised star motif on bottom. Largest 3 1/4 in (8.3 cm). Each with light earthen deposits, one split around body where originally joined into two halves, which is neat. Ex Iskander family collection, acquired prior to 1969; thence by descent.
