Description
A pair of terracotta figures, Old Babylonian & Cypriot. Lot includes the facial portion from an Old Babylonian ceramic plaque, c. 1900 - 1750 BC, with nicely molded features, L: 1 ½ in (3.8 cm). The second is upper portion of an Archaic Cypriot terracotta figure, c. 7th - 6th Century BC, stylized with pointed head, L: 1 7/8 in (4.8 cm). Both with light deposits. Ex collection of Peter Cheremisinoff, NJ.
