Description
K-001 Early American Colonial crudely made hanger. Brass pommel cap/high capstan and reverse "D" knuckle-bow/ guard/quillon decorated with several simple lines. Antler grip. 21 1/2" hand forged blade shows age and wear. Rounded tip. A period leather sword scabbard was shortened for use. The original brass throat and band are still attached similar hangers are pictured in "Swords & Blades of the American Revolution" by George C. Newmann. II
