K-002 Revolutionary War period German "short" saber. Age darkened iron flat pommel, ferrule, reverse "D" knuckle-bow/guard/quillon. Round capstan. Carved diagonal ribbed wood grip. 1 1/4" wide, 27" slightly curved age darkened blade with one fuller. (Similar to the Prussian Hussar pattern 1721 saber) An accompanying tag refers to item "S.19, p. 230 in "Weapons of the American Revolution by George C. Neumann". II
