Description
Anton Otto Fischer (German-American, 1882-1962)original American WWII folio color half sheet photolithographic broadside propaganda poster, "A Careless Word...A Needless Sinking," depicting a group of Merchant Marines in a lifeboat against a backdrop of a burning supply ship, 1942, issued by the United States Office of War Information in Washington DC as Poster #24; this is one of several Fischer did for the war effort, another example of which is to be found in Lot X. 28" H x 22" W. Folded as issued, some creases with tears.
