Mixed Lot of (2) Rare 10 Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver Art Bars - This lot includes (2) incredibly rare solid silver bullion bars struck from 10 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. The lot includes an E Pluribus Unum/Shield bar, which were originally struck in 2010 as a tribute to the new Lincoln Cents that were issued of the same year, and displays the design that the 2010 Penny featured with the Union Shield on the obverse and a repeating diagonally oriented .999 fine silver hallmark design on the reverse. The second bar is a 1981 U.S. Assay Office silver bar, which were created as part of a strategic move by the government to drive down the price of Silver after the Hunt brothers attempted to "corner" the market. The government has over 165 million ounces of silver and decided to flood the market with their abundance of physical precious metal which in turn caused the price to fall significantly. The obverse displays the American flag with an eagle and the reverse reads "Minted from the U.S. strategic stockpile silver" and "Formerly stored at U.S. assay office San Francisco 1981".
