A vibrant painted collage on illustration board featuring excerpts of Russian text, a passage naming various colors in English, a painted black box with superimposed white Xs and Os, gestural painted passages of saturated red, green, and black, an ink drawn and printed capital letter A above a helical green motif, and more. In addition to being an artist, Clare Brown has also designed history and art exhibitions for the Museum of the City of New York, the New-York Historical Society, the Newseum, and the National Museum of American History. These include the First Ladies Gowns collection (2009, 2011) and the Julia Child's Kitchen installations at the Smithsonian Institution. Size: 14" W x 17" H (35.6 cm x 43.2 cm)
