Description
Early Edo Period Japanese Matchlock Musket. Unserialized, .62 caliber, 39-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and fixed grooved-block rear sight. Decorative silver mon and kanji etched to the top of the barrel. Brass lock, hammer and trigger. Smooth hardwood full-body stock with decorative and engraved brass inlays. Wood ramrod. Sold along with baton style wooden powder flask. Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with noticeable areas of wear, age and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Dark bore.
