Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong Red monochrome double Kiln pear bottle. Pear Chinese porcelain vase, substantial rotund body with rounded shoulders converging into a short neck flaring wide opening mouth rim, with a slightly concave foot base. All hand painted masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep blue iron red which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze iron red concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, a feast for the eye.

Mark on under base, a six embossed seal script characters reign mark, Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
