Description
Dimensions: 6-1/4" H x 4-5/8" Dia.

Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain Zhadou vase. Potted with a bulbous lower belly, gently waisted toward neck, flared mouth rim leading to wide opening, enclosed with thick gilt ring line, raised with slight round concave foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the famille rose design color. Famille rose hand painting depicted vividly hand painted in enamel design, famille rose translates to the pink family, on a colored ground decoration. Each bulging sides enclosing colorful falangcai, famille rose on a colored ground decoration, of Bajixiang. The Exterior body adorned with flying phoenix trough cumulus clouds, vapor, and ruyi flaming, among Fu-bat, enclosed with repeating taotie marks and auspicious pattern. The Chinese phoenix, or Feng huang, was the sacred bird of Chinese mythology and was generally depicted with similarity to an ornamental pheasant. The phoenix is believed to be the king of all birds and also a symbol of good fortune. It symbolizes the sun, fertility, abundant harvest, good luck and longevity. The word bat Fu, in Chinese sounds identical to the word for luck which is a pair of homophones implied linguistic symbolism the symbolic meaning of bat is commonly recognized as good fortune in Chinese culture and meaning the five blessings, is a concept that signify a grouping of certain good fortunes and luck in Chinese culture. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
