Description
A huge Colima red slipped cooking vessel, West Mexico, c. 100 BC - AD 200, heavy-bodied, with deep rounded bowl and flared rim. H: 8 in (20.3 cm); Dia: 14 in (35.5 cm). Red-slipped surfaces well preserved with attractive mottled mineral deposits. Ex Clifford Baker collection, San Diego, CA, acquired in the 1960's.
