ISLAMIC MUGHAL WARRIOR HELMET HOLY ISLAMIC SIGN HALF MOON & STARARABIC CALLIGRAPHY ENGRAVED.
Province : Mughal/ Islamic.
Made :Made of heavy iron , hand hammered and chiseled , engraved.
Half moon & star : At top of helmet , iron hand made Islamic holy signhalf moon & star with Arabic engraved on half moon. The sign is removable.
Arabic Calligraphy : At bottom hand engraved Arabic calligraphy to invoke God's power and blessing to win battle.
Skull : Bears an elaborate chiseled engraving over its entire surface with floral & creeper design.
Type : Armor, warrior helmet.
Nasal Guard : Snake shape nose guard to give protection to the center of face.
Chain mail : Helped to deflect a blow to the back of the head and neck.
Plumb : Helmet is flanked by the pair of the plumb holders.
The interior is well padded with cotton and cloth cushion.
This makes this helmet adding dramatic detailing to this incredible piece of armor.Condition few tiny loss to chain mail and some scattered stains on chain mail. An interesting helmet showing the influence of other cultures.Circa Qajar period 18th.-19th.c cen
