Description
9th-11th century AD. A large hollow ceramic piriform vessel, intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade; the body with raised teardrop-shaped lugs and stamped smaller teardrop-shaped motifs, short neck with small aperture.
