This chess set is an interpretation of the Carolingian-Ottoman Turks war and the figures featured in it are incredibly ornate and historically accurate. The board itself is made of fine Italian marble and green onyx, and is beautifully lined with silver and gold. The board rests on a beautiful matching table with ornate sculpted legs, and comes with a pair of matching stools. This fine set was hand-crafted in an Italian workshop, where tools are passed down for generations.
