This piano is an artistic masterpiece which can be treasured for generations for its incomparable sound and lasting place in Steinway & Sons history. The 150th Anniversary Piano is a recreation of the famous Art Case Paderewski Model which was played by legendary Steinway artist Ignace Jan Paderewski on his famous United States concert tour in 1892-93, which now stands proudly in the National Museum of American History in Washington D.C. Period details include a carved piano desk featuring the Steinway Lyre, half-round beading along the piano’s bottom rim, and beautifully carved, fluted legs. The piano has a brass Steinway & Sons Limited Edition plaque numbered 54 of 150, the brass 150th anniversary plaque, and is signed by Henry Z. Steinway, the last-surviving great grandson of the German immigrant who founded Steinway & Sons in 1853. The piano is stamped "K1147" on the underside and is also marked "L 3" and "L 566077". The piano is fitted with a Two Shure Receiver/Transmitter with volume controls, Advent AV-570 Multimedia speaker and a QRS Pianomation 2000C control unit, which essentially transforms the piano into an electronic orchestra.
