178. Longstreet Stephen (1907-2002)''Marina'', watercolor and pastel, 21"x17.5" ----- Longstreet Stephen (1907-2002) was born in New York. Later on he moved to California where he lived in Beverly Hills. Longstreet studied at Rutgers University; NY School Fine and Applied Art, 1927; Paris, 1927-29 and 1933-38, with Mattise and Bonnard, sketching with Pascin, Grosz, Arp & Feitelson. He was a painter, art historian, sculptor, teacher, critic, lecturer. Exhibited: Functionist West, Los Angeles; Univ. Arizona, 1953 (solo); Robles Gal., 1945-47, 1950, 1953-56; Univ. Calif., Los Angeles; Univ. So. Calif.; SFMA; Nu-World Shows, Balbac Gal., Paris, 1940-1960; SFMA, 1965; Santa Barbara Museum, 1967; So. Calif. Ann., 1970; Paideia Gals., Los Angeles, 1971.
