Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tairona culture, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. Two hand-built pottery blackware vessels. First is a lime container in the form of a turtle with a slight rounded base, angled shoulders with incised designs, a central cavity filled with ancient lime, and a projecting head with twin bulbous eyes and an incised diamond on top. Second is a petite twin-lobed vessel with incised linear and circular designs along the body as well as twin upturned rims. Size of largest (lime container): 2.625" L (6.7 cm).

Provenance: private Stagecoach, Nevada, USA collection; acquired from 1985 to present from galleries such as Arte Primitivo, Art For Eternity, Butterfields, and Riverbend Gallery
