Mid 19th century, 42 x 52 cm, South East Caucasus, Moghan region
A side panel of a Moghan Shahsavan mafrash, finely woven in the sumakh technique. The dark blue field contains one complete and one truncated Memling gül. The border ornamentation is a characteristic feature of the weavings by the tribal groups who live in the Moghan-Savalan area. – Very good condition.
