„Yamswurzelmesser“ (Mma ji) genannte Maske, deren bugähnliche Stirnverlängerung eine Machete darstellt, die bei der Feldarbeit gebraucht wurde und früher auch als Waffe diente.

Sie soll insbesondere an Feierlichkeiten anlässlich der Yams-Ernte aufgetreten sein. Die Masken der Afikpo durften von Frauen zwar nicht getanzt werden, als Zuschauerinnen waren sie allerdings durchaus erwünscht.
