The blade has been oiled so it looks almost mint! There are two small nicks on blade (see photos). Other than that, this thing is GORGEOUS!! Tag says that this was manufactured by Toyoda Jido Shokki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loomworks), under Nagoya supervision.Type of Piece:Bayonet, ScabbardNumber of Items:1Dimensions (LxWxD):--ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE—Entire item – 21 x 3.5 x 1 inchesDagger itself – 20 inches in length (Blade is approx 15.5in long, Handle is approx. 4.5in long)Materials:Unknown metal, unknown woodCondition:Scabbard shows oxidation and surface marks but nothing out of the ordinary. Blade is amazing (maybe because it was sharpened and oiled). Shows striations from sharpening and has two tiny nicks on the blade. Other than that, it is is excellent shape! Bird shaped pommel has oxidation from age but release button shows good tension. Guard shows oxidation. Hilt shows fair amount of marring (see photos) and looks like it was also conditioned with oil. Hallmarks:Two Japanese hallmarks on base of blade by the hilt.
