Text by Richard Swainson Fisher, M.D. (Folio) 46x34 cm (18x14½"), original half morocco and brown cloth decoratively blind-stamped, stamped and lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt.
The complete and comprehensive Johnson's atlas of the United States and the world. Thirty-five maps of the Americas, 27 pertain to the United States (many are the double-page maps) including Vicinity of Richmond and Peninsular Campaign in Virginia. This copy lists a vignette title page in the contents which is not present, but contains the U.S. Capitol frontispiece which is not listed in the contents.
