Central/Southern Europe, Italic Bronze Age/early Iron Age, ca. 11th to 8th century BCE. A group of ten components of cast bronze fibulae (brooches), some quite large and fabulous. There are four examples with preserved pins, and one with half of its pin remaining. The other five pieces are a ring for suspension and four without pins. Most of the brooches have a bulbous, three-disc motif; another has a spiral form, while two others have ovoid bodies with rings at each end. These would have been buried with their owners, probably women. Size of largest: 4.25" W x 2.3" H (10.8 cm x 5.8 cm)

Condition
Four of the brooches have their pins present; the other pieces are fragmentary. All have encrusted, pale green patina on their surfaces. All have their pin and/or hinge mechanisms frozen in place.
