Description
A pair of Egyptian wood figures, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, from dioramas depicting scenes from everyday life. The first is a man seated with kilt and short wig, from a large model boat, H: 6 1/2 in (16.5 cm), the second a striding figure also with short kilt and black wig, H: H: 6 1/2 in (16.5 cm), Both the same size with remnants of original paint and some surface deposits. Ex New Jersey private estate.
