Description
A collection of 4 Egyptian stone cosmetic vessel lids, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061-1690 BC, in a dark serpentine, three circular lids the second a carved rim for a vessel. Largest 1 7/8 in (4.8 cm) in diameter. Each is well-carved with light deposits, one bearing old label from Institute of Archaeology Liverpool. Ex Stanley Lowell collection; Ex collection of Walter J. Dilling; Ex Institute of Archaeology, University of Liverpool.
