Description
**First Time At Auction**
Europe, Spain, ca. 19th century CE. A pair of glazed terracotta vessels in rich earth tones, with a lovely glaze finishes. The small bowl has a flat and stable footed base, sloping walls, a deep interior cavity, a rolled rim, and rich creamy yellow applied curvilinear and star-shaped designs. The large jug has a flat base, bulbous piriform body, smooth shoulders which taper to a narrow neck, an applied curving handle, a wide funneled mouth, and a collared rim. Size of bowl: 6.875" W x 2.25" H (17.5 cm x 5.7 cm); size of jug: 7" W x 10.125" H (17.8 cm x 25.7 cm).
