Description
A nice Roman gold pendant depicting Victory, 1st - 2nd Century AD, standing front, turned to left, supporting a shield inscribed IVP/DP set atop a palm tree and holding a wreath. The oval pendant is bordered by two rows of twisted wire with granulation resembling a bunch of grapes at bottom. A horizontally aligned suspension loop is at top with pellet below. A lovely pendant and in great condition! 3.6 x 2.1 cm, 3.04g. Ex Central European private collection acquired 1955-1990.
