A PAIR OF FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED ROSEWOOD MARBLE TOP PETITE COMMODES, 20TH CENTURY, the serpentine, highly figured ocher and violet marble tops, above two bow front, quadruple crotched drawers, centering foliate escutcheons within leafy drawer pulls, flanked by book matched serpentine sides, and rounded stiles, mounted with ormolu rocaille flourishes, all raised on restrained cabriole legs, ending in mounted scrolled ormolu feet, joined by an arched skirt, the top interior stamped "Made in France." Height: 31 5/8" Width: 31 5/8" Depth: 18 1/8"

The marbles have mild chips on the back, there are a few very mild expected chips to the veneer, some mild surface wear throughout, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
