Description

Joseph Ives Mahogany 8 Day Shelf Clock. Original 7 in. painted iron dial with black Roman hour numerals, steel plate 8 day weight driven movement with roller pinions, hour strike on a bell, long steel pendulum rod with brass bob and and 8 day iron side weights. In a mahogany case with scroll carved crest, tiger maple trim, turned brass finials, corbeled sides over reeded pilasters, large original mirrored door panel, original reverse painted glass around the dial and original reverse painted lower table with open center exposing the pendulum. Refinished, original glasses are repainted, dial has original paint with some inpainting, movement running and striking; crest scrolls have repair and replaced veneer on the crest front. 53 in. high x 20 in. wide x 5.75 in. deep. Weight: 57 lbs.
