Description
A large Jamacoaque whistle figure from Ecuador, c. 300 BC - AD 400. This Chone style female is posed standing, with harms to the sides. She is wearing the traditional headdress and skirt and is adorned with ear and nose ornaments, as well as matching necklace and bracelets. H: 9 1/2 in. Paint remnants, good mineral deposits, nice tone on the whistle. Ex Sanabria collection.
