Brilliant Chinese open face famille rose celestial vase. A Sizeable rotund body with rounded shoulders converging into a tall conservative neck flared opening and a slightly concave foot base. Famille-rose translates to “the pink familyâ€, with the pink coloration present throughout both the vessel and covering surfaces. The immaculate porcelain body is covered with a characteristic silky glaze, with fine floral details covering the finish. The exterior is delicately decorated with gnarled branches bearing vibrant floral blooms. The focal image depicts several travelers gathering beneath the shade of a tree on a mountain pathway. A variety of flowers and vines ensconce a large portion of the surface area. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
Mark on base, a six blue underglazed seal script -ZhuanShu- characters, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
