New World, Mexico, ca. 19th century CE. A delicate tin resplendor, a crown made for a saint statue (santo) in a church. The crown is repousse, with a round, crenellated headpiece and a halo-like attachment topped by a cross. A well-preserved example! Size: 9.75" W x 8.7" H (24.8 cm x 22.1 cm)
