Description
CIVIL WAR ERA BRASS BELT PLATES, LOT OF THREE, comprising an 1851 pattern Eagle/Wreath, an 1839 pattern "US", and an 1826 pattern Eagle shoulder belt plate; each under glass in shadowbox frame, the first mounted to board with wire, the other two mounted together to board with adhesive. Probably third quarter 19th century. Eagle/Wreath example 2 1/8" X 3 1/4" OA, "US" example 2 1/8" x 3 3/8" OA, shoulder belt plate 2 1/2" D.
Very good as-found condition, expected minor wear and minor dents, shoulder belt plate with surface corrosion.
