Makuzu Kozan circa 1900; a small Japanese porcelain vase well painted by Kozan with Japanese bleeding heart plant in underglaze Blue, the background covered with a Yellow overglaze enamel; the mouth covered with a beaded-border silver mount with 2 silver hallmarks under the edge; the base and interior in clear slightly pale blue glaze, the base with an underglaze blue circle, two incised colorless circles and a bold signature in underglaze blue. Good condition. Height 3 7/8 inches (9.9 cm.).
