Description
Yabu Meizan (1853-1934) Seal in gold to center of base; Important Japanese Satsuma small Vase, Meiji Period, late 19 century; painted with a complex design of a Daimyo procession wrapping around the surface in perspective from small to large almost twice; in polychrome enamels, raised enamels, gilt, and raised gilt; the neck and foot further decorated with a profusion of flower heads. Good condition. Height 7 1/2 inches (19.1cm.).
