Description
A nice Jalisco early male seated figure, Mexico, c. 300 - 100 BC, a very early and rare example, holding a flint blade, his face nicely detailed with coffee bean eyes and large angular nose. H: 5 1/2 in (13.8 cm). Well-preserved with remnants of mineral pigmentation decoration. Ex Southern California private collection acquired in 1970's and 1980's.
