Description
A pair of Jalisco seated male figures, West Mexico, c. 100 BC – AD 250, the largest red-slipped with glossy surfaces, his hands on his knees and facial features well defined, remnants of painted black details. H: 6 in (15.2 cm). The second figure with hands to neck and stomach, nicely modeled with red-orange and crème slip with additional black details. H: 5 ¼ in (13.3 cm). Both nice examples with light deposits. Ex Dr. John Hilsabeck estate, Orange County.
