Description
Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 100 to 400 CE. A petite hand-built ceramic bowl with a slightly rounded base, flared walls, a thin rim, and a shallow interior embellished with a rust-hued pigment. The exterior of the bowl displays a repeating columnar series of circles colored in cream, orange, grey, and crimson pigments atop a dark-brown ground, with the maroon base delineated with a thin white stripe. Size: 4.3" W x 2.25" H (10.9 cm x 5.7 cm).
