AFTER HENRY BRUECKNER (AMERICAN, 18TH C.) GEORGE WASHINGTON PRINT, title "WASHINGTON AND HIS MOTHER" in bottom margin with crest-like device featuring shield with three stars surmounted by eagle, lettered under image "PAINTED BY HENRY BRUECKNER", "PUBLISHED BY JOHN C. McRAE, N.Y." and "ENGRAVED BY JOHN C. McRAE". Unframed, fixed to board at edges with double-sided archival tape. 19th century. 18" X 22 1/2" sheet, 22" x 27 3/8" including backing.
Good condition overall, expected minor toning, repaired tear to top margin, bottom margin (entering into "W" in "Washington"), and one side margin (barely entering image), fixed to board with archival tape as described.
Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA. All proceeds to benefit the Collections Acquisition Fund.
