Description
Henry Dunay 16.00ctw VS1-VS2/F-G Diamond, Baroque Pearl & Solid 18K Yellow Gold Convertible Cocktail Necklace/Brooch Set (W/$72,000 Appraisal) - This magnificent piece was created by world renowned American goldsmith and jewelry designer Henry Dunay, and was finely crafted of solid 18k yellow gold. This elegant cocktail has a unique, convertible design comprised of an 11.00ctw VS1-VS2/F-G diamond 15" choker necklace and a 5.00ctw VS1-VS2/F-G diamond and baroque pearl 1.5" necklace enhancer. This piece is truly versatile, as the enhancer has a straight pin closure which fits through a loop on the back of the necklace or allows you to wear the piece alone as a brooch. The diamond choker necklace can also be worn alone or layered with other pieces, allowing the wearer to create unique looks all their own. This incredible piece truly exudes sophistication and grandeur, as the gold has a highly polished finish and high karat yellow color and the diamonds have a beautiful radiance about them and are stunningly eye clean. The piece is signed "Dunay", and stamped "18K" and "750". Henry Dunay began his career in the workshop of New York City jeweler Rudolph Cacioli at the age of 14, where he learned the fine art of creating jewelry. Though he started as an errand boy, he quickly worked his way up to becoming a master model maker and setter at a remarkably young age, impressing Cacioli with the fineness of his work and the refinement of his proportions and curves. He started his own firm in 1956, taking on work from other manufacturers (including Harry Winston) to support himself initially. Dunay quickly found success and fame after winning the De Beers Diamond International Award, which showered images of his designs around the world. He has been awarded over 50 National and International Awards over fifty years, and is a four time winner of the Diamond International award. (WEIGHT: 56.2 grams) Please note: This piece will come with a $72,000 insurance valuation report in the winning bidder's name by a graduate appraiser.
