This beautiful Smoke Carnival Glass Scroll and Flower Panels Vase #480 - by Imperial Glass- is in near MINT condition. NO chips, cracks, stains or flea bites. This is an ORIGINAL not a reproduction from the 1960’s. These have been reproduced in the 1960's, mostly in marigold and smoke, but the reproductions do not have an 18-point star on the bottom as this one does. The new ones have the IG mark inside on the bottom THIS ONE IS UNMARKED. Also the iridescence is much shinier on the new ones. According to the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass page 220 these are rare pieces even those reproduced in the 1960’s. Measures 10” tall. This is a statement vase and one that will accent any floral arrangement or just for display as a vase.
